Here Michelle is referencing hiker Leo DuFour, a 22-year-old Canadian hiker who went missing on his solo hike to Allen Mountain on November 30, 2024. A massive search and rescue was launched but winter conditions made this work next to impossible. His body was discovered by other hikers the following spring. As hikers and as mothers, we are heartbroken. We think of Leo and his family often as we hike.
